A Gunflint Trail occurs as 57-mile paved roadway that begins around Grand Marais, Minnesota and ends at Seagull Lake in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCA), near a United states border sustaining Ontario, Canada. Originally the foot path for traveler from either inland streams, lakes, and wells throughout to Lake Superior, the trail was in time widened into the road. It at present serves as a route to lodges, backpacking trails, homes for a little total of population enumeration in the 100s, & the streams, lakes, & wells throughout and lakes of the BWCA. Its numerical designation is Cook County Highway 12.
